I think the original poster mean "z/OS is the only MVS-derived operating system for the zSeries". Yeah, I know. That's not what he said. Of course, z/OS people do tend to discount z/VM, z/VSE, and Linux for zSeries. Hum, one could argue that z/VM is not an operating system. It is a hypervisor. You cannot run "applications" on z/VM directly. Unless you can write a "stand alone" application. Note that CMS is not z/VM. It is an operating system which is tightly coupled to z/VM hypervisor facilities. Oh course, I should know better than to debate with you.
