I had your C/C++ compiler and DASM as well at one time. They are very
good products. Unfortunately, I was not able to renew my license due to
(1) financial problems due to my mother becoming extremely ill and (2)
lack of need. I had hope to be able to use it to port the GNU toolchain
to z/OS. OK, my head was much, much larger than my talent.

The company does not perceive any need for a C/C++ compiler. I happened
to get it because I showed where we had licensed VS FORTRAN for years
after it was no longer being used. This freed up the money. I also made
a fair case that a C compiler would be very helpful for CGI type work.
At that time, we were considering doing more CGI work. That has died, so
my justification has died. z/OS at this installation is in the same
catagory as base TSO (moribund at best). The overt reason is expense.
The real reason is <elided to avoid being fired>.
