AFAIK.. this is not possible. You can have the mainframe unicast to a router .. then run EIGRP in the rest of the network.
Or take the route of OSPF.. which should be a bit of a pain to setup.. but very good once it is set. -Rob. -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Philip Miscione Sent: Tuesday, July 19, 2005 11:44 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RiP/EIGRP mainframe migration Sensitivity: Private All We planning to change our network routing protocol from Rip to EIGRP. This will enable better management of network addressing and allow for faster convergence during network failures. Currently our mainframe is running form of Rip and learning routes from the network(OROUTED). We would like to have the mainframe use a default route or gateway instead of using the dynamic routing protocol from the network. We want to remove Rip and run EIGRP. Can anybody give me a heads up as to configuring the MF stack to support it Do I just need to code the gateway statment and not use the bsdroutingparms statment and do I still need to run OROUTED ?
