Colleagues, this has been one of the most enjoyable threads I have ever read in my 5 years of lurking. It sounds like it's not done yet so after saying my minimal piece I'll shut up and continue to lurk in enjoyment. For the record, here's the attributes I've found so appealing:
1. 99.9 % facts. 2. 0.00 % emotion. 3. Posters to date are as far over my head as the planet they just found beyond Pluto. 4. Posters of lofty knowledge are learning from other posters. 5. You can rewrite the EOF record into the same space on the track without using a formatting write, although this does not usually accomplish anything useful.
