If you are at z/OS R6 or higher SAVE ACDS as SCDS A new operand on the SETSMS command, SAVESCDS is available as shown in Figure 1-1. Figure 1-1 SETSMS SAVESCDS command Where scds_dsname is the name of the SCDS into which the current ACDS will be copied. You can use this new SCDS to work with as you would with any SCDS. The storage administrator can save an ACDS as a SCDS in cases when your SCDS is lost, or when you want to save the changes made to the active configuration through operator commands and use the configuration as a SCDS.
