Hi,
I would be happier if it were actually done or they had committed to a
specific release level or release date when the change would be accomplished
but Xerox does get benefit of the doubt for a positive response. We are
working with them to open a SPAR and track this to resolution.
XPAF currently allocates user key common storage
"This storage area is allocated in this key and subpool so the XOAF facility
can reference it for the REFRESH function across address spaces. This
function is no longer needed with the advent of autorev support in XPAF.
This area of the code will be investigated and, possibly, removed or
re-worked in a future revision level of XPAF.
I appreciate that you realize that XPAF is still alive and well. We strive
to be compliant with the latest supported releases of z/OS and JES2 and
JES3."
I will be staying in touch with them and trying to nail down a commitment as
to when this will be delivered but if you use XPAF for host printing on z/OS
why not take a minute and make a similar report if you want to see the use
of user key common storage removed sooner rather than later from XPAF.
Best Regards,
