Just a heads up. In Z/OS 1.7 the requirement that the journal data set be restricted to one volume and be allocated with contiguous space and without secondary allocation is now enforced during startup of HSM. Startup checks that CONTIG option in the SPACE parm was specified during allocation and fails if it wasn't. The CONTIG option is not available during allocation in option 3.2 of ISPF.
