There is a statement that mixed-case passwords are supported in ACF2 R8. http://www3.ca.com/Files/DataSheets/etrust_acf2_r8_zos_data_sheet.pdf However, you need to enable this feature and there are some disclaimers in the ACF2 r8 documentation.
