Great rant!  (That's NOT snide, I mean it!)

Be aware that ComputerWorld is well known for never publishing anything without 
a negative slant.  I became aware of this 15 or so years ago, when an editor 
there solicited a piece from me about Rexx; it was rejected for being "too 
positive".  This (and a colleague's assertion that CW only likes negative 
pieces) got me to pay more attention to their writing, and sure enough, it's 
always got this doom, gloom, and impending failure tone to it.

Having said that, I'd say it sounds like a regular "curmudgeon" piece would be 
just what they'd want!
