One comment - if you are planning to go to Seattle - I might suggest booking
your own hotel as I was not very impressed by rate that SHARE was able to
negotiate.

Nothing could possibly beat the convenience of staying at the Sheraton. It was literally _right next_ to the convention center and hosted SCIDS evening receptions et. al. If you're speaking, volunteering, or want to be able to get back to your room throughout the day, perhaps to drop off handouts and lighten your load, you need to be close. The Marriott was a bit of a walk, but still doable I would not have wanted to be any further away than that.

The SHARE rates (especially those available when booking early) are pretty darn good considering the excellent locations they choose for their convention sites. And the way these things work, if enough people don't stay at the "official" SHARE hotels, the price of the conference registration will need to be increased to make up the difference. It all evens out in the end.

The weather could not have been better. Didn't get too hot and the humidity stayed in check. Much better than it was in 2000!

I felt the whole experience was well worth the trip from Beijing which says
a lot in itself.

That's good to hear!
