We went full production with z/os.e about six weeks ago. There is nothing really remarkable, except the TSO USERMAX is 10, and you have to code up a little front end to run COBOL programs. And it costs only about 10% of full z/os.
There are two PARMLIB members IFAPRDxx and IESSYSxx, but that's about it. HTH and good luck. -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tuco Bonno Sent: Monday, August 29, 2005 5:13 AM To: [email protected] Subject: z/os.e: request for advice I have installed *-REGULAR-* z/os 1.4 from a serverpak into about 10 lpars on two different z890 boxes. Now i've been directed to install z/os.e into another lpar. i have located and printed the Licensed Program Spec-s , plus a manual entitled _z/OS.e_Overview_ (GA22-7869-01), plus i am reviewing my original _z/OS_and_z/OS.e__Planning_for_Installation_ (GA22-7504-09) manual (1) are there any other manuals i should be aware of? (and if so, where might i find them?) (2) does anyone have any advice/experience/war_stories/gotchas they would care to share w/ me? tia ====================== /s/ tuco bonno graduate, College of Conflict Management, University of Southeast Asia.
