I just found this on the Whitney National Bank (N.O. La.) web site. Whitney Bank has had a detailed disaster recovery plan for many years. The plan includes longstanding arrangements with large national companies to provide computer and check processing services at secure locations in Chicago and Atlanta. In addition, Whitney has activated its pre-positioned backup headquarters in Houston, Texas. Key staff from New Orleans have assembled in Houston and are working there. Most banking functions are now operational and Whitney expects the balance of its usual banking services to be fully operational shortly.
