Many of your replies show your lack of knowledge in current technology.
I'm curious - How many years have you been retired now?
I'm still working in the field, but I didn't know you could FTP dumps to
IBM via batch, as someone in this thread mentioned. The last time I
FTP'd a dump to IBM, I did it via a TSO command, and it was indeed a
pain, but I'll accept others testimony that it works well via FTP batch.
We seldom have things fail to the point where I need to FTP a dump,
and now that our datacenter is closing, I don't anticipate doing that
until my next job.
