A lot of editing has taken place since this data set was a valid
unformatted dump. The previous view that you showed looked as though a
single-space ASA control character had been added to the front of the first
record at some point in the travels. It wasn't clear whether translation
to ASCII and back ever took place because upper case letters tend to
survive that, and the binary values shown when you pasted the first bytes
of the dump header record looked reasonable for such a record. But enough
has happened that trying to recover a dump from this data set would likely
be harder than recreating the problem that caused it to be written
originally.
