Hi folks I'm trying to 'improve' our current OPC setup (which has been pretty much the same since the early 1990s). I have some questions, which I can't seem to answer from the standard manual set, nor find in any Redbooks, so I'm hoping some of you kind souls out there could offer some advice. In a nutshell: - I want to split the Controller and Tracker into separate address spaces, and also activate the Data Store component; - I have two production LPARs, both are distinct Monoplexes. Both TWS' are configured almost identically. The workloads of each are not currently related but I'd like to 'prepare' them for being merged under a centralised controller and take Sysplex into account, in case we ever go down these routes. My questions are concerning naming conventions in the configuration, as I need to uniquely identify each sub-system, and each component's JCL procedure. - Do I have to define a subsystem definition for (each) Tracker and Data Store component as well, or are they and the Controller all part of the same subsystem? - The manual says that the address space name must exactly match the subsystem name. Does this just mean the Controller address space? Are there restrictions on the procedure/address space names of the Tracker and Data Store? Thanks in advance.
