You DO play with fire, don't you? <grin>. The IPL LNKLST cannot be closed. Therefore the DEB will exist until IPL. Therefore, EVEN IF THE VOLUME IS OFFLINE, it is *possible* for this system to try to do I/O to the "offline" volume.
