IBM did get the message and did indicate in the course catalog if it was
televised again.
My boss squared got the message from me about the televised classes (he
was a former IBMer) and gave a few nice words to our IBM rep.
I am not certain myself if a SHARE session can be taken remotely, a few
probably could be but I would suspect a small percent would work. Maybe the
others can pipe up as to their take on televised sessions

>>AFAIK SHARE is still 100% live. What we're talking about is secondary or
maybe tertiary reinforcement. There's more info than one person can digest
or cover. So with the handouts
and compiled proceedings what mechanism allows the information to be
spread the easiest?

In the olden days we used to have a designee scarf up leftover handouts.
And SHARE would box them up and UPS them back to your office. He got in
trouble 'cause he carried his handouts in his luggage and mailed back his
dirty
laundry. The mail room was not amused.

Anyway SHARE is offering an augmentation with session handouts and audio
recording. Few years ago Sam Knutson and maybe a few others had
their sessions taped for rebroadcast as WEBcasts.

IBM purchased whole company designed to integrate many of the features of
Web conferencing and Net meetings. It will really be interesting to see
cost benefit analysis of folks who can afford both SHARE and z/EXPO on how
their needs and expectations are being met.
