Hello all,
I want to monitor the TCP/IP ports that are in use on our system that are not
defined in SYS1.TCPPARMS under the PORT or PORTRANGE parameters.

I looked at SMF 119 Type 7 records, but the manual says "The Port Statistics
record, as an interval record, periodically records statistics on ports that
have
been configured with the PORT statement in the TCP/IP PROFILE. Note that
this excludes all ports defined by PORTRANGE, or for which the RESERVED flag
has been set. "

I know what ports we explicitly reserved in the profile and it would be nice to
have stats on how much traffic come over those ports. But what I really want
to document is which ports are being used that have not been reserved.

Any suggestions?

Thanks very much.
