Is there a way to produce a list of GDG disk dsns that were defined with "NOSCRATCH" parM? We have a problem with disk space and it was noticed that several GDG dsns that were rolled off but were still on the dasd because of they were defined with "NOSCRATCH". I looked at DFDSS & FDR (FDREPORT) but so far I haven't found anything. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.
Thank You all in advance

I went through this exercise long ago. I used ISPF EDIT on a IDCAMS
listing of all the GDG's in a particular catalog to alter the NOSCRATCH
option on the Generation Indices involved, then used FDREPORT to find
all UNCATALOGED datasets. I also provided a simple CLIST to the apps
folks to define any new GDG indecis with the correct attributes. They
liked it because it was very SIMPLE to use: just provide the name and
number of generations and everything else was done for them.
