Yes. Our T-REX product can be used to remove IMBED/REPLICATE options from catalogs while they are OPEN and allocated to CAS on any number of connected systems with a sysplex. Unfortunately, we do not currently support master catalogs. However, if a master catalog is connected as a user catalog on another system, you could pause the system where the catalog is a master and perform the reorg. Still an outage, but only one system.
Yes. We still offer free use of our software to anyone who wants to use it just to remove IMBED and REPLICATE from their user catalogs. Dino-Software's catalog product (and I think Mainstar's product also) claim they can remove these attributes from a catalog while it is open and allocated to CAS (although I'm not sure if the master catalog is a restriction - does anyone know, we have mainstar and have some catalogs to fix - including a couple of mcats). Someone from Dino-Software had offered free use of their product to do this in an IBM-MAIN post earlier this year, but I think he said the offer would be withdrawn when z/OS 1.7 went GA. Perhaps you have one of those two products already.
