TYPRUN=SCAN does not do a complete job of syntax-checking JCL. For example, DISP=SH is not flagged by the scan, but gets a JCL error if submitted normally (z/OS 01.09.00). A user did a ton of TYPRUN=SCAN submissions manually, and while I was playing with a tool to automate the process I encountered this inconvenient truth. Anyone know of more examples, or of a fix?
