I'm getting ready to try out running some JRuby on the Mainframe. It's the
closest I can get to porting Ruby to z/OS. REXX isn't a half bad language
and I can definitely see why it has such a following. For the time when it
was introduced, it brought a lot of sanity to programming on the Mainframe.
But Ruby is just so enjoyable to program with and it's *so* powerful.

If I have good results, my next target is to run the JRuby against CICS and
IMS. :D
