Hups sorry I mean cross systems but in the same sysplex. Sorry.
Tnx for your posting to correct my posting. We use basic sysplex and not 
parllel sysplex.

I have to go with Radoslaw on this one. I thought that ECS is 
an exclusive function of parallel sysplex. We also 'share' a 
handful of catalogs across sysplex boundaries, but this is not 
ECS. Issue this command and look for a status of Active:

f catalog,ecshr(status)
