"Acceptable?" I hope you are a competitor.
Most of us listen very carefully to those with a -lot- of experience and learn from the mistakes of others. Folks with experience tend to have evolved procedures that are fast, robust, and have a good chance of actually working in a real event. -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lorne Dudley Sent: Sunday, November 15, 2009 8:38 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: USB on HMC running OS/2 Warp Hello Timothy ! Your reaction is acceptable. As I have mentioned earlier in this dialog, this is just one of many options we may have at our DR site. If it happens to work and is the fastest option at that particular time, that is the option that WE will use. We have a couple of other "guaranteed" options, including the least preferred of typing in bootstrap JCL to load from tape. I realize some individuals prefer to have a rigid repeatable procedure. We prefer to complete the exercise in minimum time with maximum flexibility.
