Thanks for humoring me.  I remain mystified.

But I always post through the web archive interface, and I have no trouble with 
line wrap, ever.  The wrapping must be done by the editor in your web client.  
When I reply to posts containingwrapped URLs, I try to repair them in the 
quoted material.

AFIK, TSO/ISPF submit limits you to LRECL=80, whatever the viewer may say.

I can submit much longer lines with either FTP or IEBGENER.  Fortunately,
SDSF for recent releases of z/OS displays them properly (always showing
data length plus 1 in the PROF for me).
