There are at least two PDS member cases: with ISPF statistics and without. Is there any product that routinely gives sizes for "pure" (non-ISPF-saved) PDS members?
So I assume you're talking about ISPF-saved member statistics. Correct me if I am wrong. WS_FTP Pro 12 displays PDS members two ways. (I'm working from memory because I don't have FTP up at the moment and my DFW z/OS is "asleep" so it's not a 5-second job to get on-line.) In its basic 2-panel "Windows explorer" screen it shows name, size, modified, etc. for each member (as I recall). Unfortunately the text is not cut-and-paste so that is not what I sent below. As I recall it has the information for ISPF-saved members but not for non-ISPF-saved members. Write me off-line if you want a screen shot showing long and short member names with and without ISPF stats. There's also a button called "Directory Info." Clicking that brings up a notepad session with directory information in it, kind of like what you might get if you opened LISTDS output in an editor. That's what I cut-and-pasted from below. The "8" below is presumably an ISPF line count. I think that 8 is a plausible line count for that member. It's a small job that just runs one proc. It's certainly not 8 bytes (tough for an LRECL=80 file) and it's certainly not 8K. In the version I have, for PDS member name less than 6 characters, the size shows 0K and the modified information is blank.
