One way is using an authorized program like the CDSCB TSO command processor to do this i.e.
READY CDSCB 'your.data.set' DSORG(PSU) CHANGED READY THE CDSCB (CHANGE DSCB) COMMAND MODIFIES A DATA SET'S FORMAT-1 DSCB IN A VTOC. CBT Tape File # 300 Jim Marshall's enormous collection of TSO programs http://www.cbttape.org/ftp/cbt/CBT300.zip http://www.cbttape.org or Mike Cleary's RACF secured version http://home.pacbell.net/mcleary/freeware.html File # 301 A version of CDSCB which checks auth thru RACF http://www.cbttape.org/ftp/cbt/CBT301.zip http://www.cbttape.org Usual caveats apply use caution, make backups, secure authorized systems programmer tools, etc. CDSCB works by opening the VTOC and rewriting the DSCB and so must be authorized and should not be turned loose to the general user base. If this is a one off effort to fix up a bunch of data sets using CDSCB is a nice, quick alternative to superzap or writing a specific program just for this. It is handy to keep around for contingencies if properly secured. Best Regards, Sam Knutson -----Original Message----- BTW: Is there any method to alter PS to PSU ? I don't mean VTAOC zapping. -- Radoslaw Skorupka Lodz, Poland <> ==================== This email/fax message is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information.
