I don't necessarily mean for exits and bare-metal code and that sort of
thing. I mean the sorts of things software products typically do (as opposed
to business applications) in routines callable from C/C++? Dynalloc? Get the
current job name? Somewhere in the C/C++ product? Somewhere in LE? I see a
very small handful of things in z/OS callable services and in LE callable
services, but not much. The "biggie" I am thinking about is SVC 99, but the
first thing on my plate at the moment is retrieving DD info from the TIOT. I
could convert some assembler code I have to be callable from C; I could
probably hack "pure" C to do it; but why?
