For the record, you can also order as many ICFs (Internal Coupling Facility
processors) and extra SAPs (System Assist Processors) as you wish,
independent of the number of CPs (general purpose processors), up to the
physical maximum capacity of the machine.

Also please note that you can order one zAAP *and* one zIIP per full *or
fractional* CP. Sub-capacity CP configurations are exceptionally common on
BC machines and reasonably common on EC machines. For example, if you have
a System z10 BC Model A03, that has 3 CPs configured at minimum
sub-capacity, and so you can also add as many as 3 zAAPs *and* 3 zIIPs.
(And if you do, you'll still have one more processor available for other
purposes on that particular machine.)

All specialty processors -- zAAPs, zIIPs, IFLs, ICFs, and SAPs -- always
run at full capacity speed.
