Of course I forgot cloud, grid computing and thin provisioning. Or the
older: object oriented, 32-bit (nowadays it would be 64-bit), java
based, Internet-ready.
BTW: lately I've heard about thin provisioning implementation on DS8000
for CKD disks (in fact there is no such thing for mainframe disks
implemented). Sales pitch: "of course there is thin provisioning for
CKD! I't been for years. We all know SECONDARY ALLOCATION in SPACE
keywords" <vbg>
