Hi All, In our z/OS environment, when the dataset is closed with DISP=OLD or DISP=MOD, the unused space is automatically freed. Sometimes it causes x37 abend when the same step re-open the dataset. It would be better to have some controls in JCL to provide exceptions for this behavior.
I was wondering which software or z/OS components control this.
