HI, In a few days or more, I will add a new feature to my emulated tapes. This feature is still in development but it is almost done.
The new feature is MFNetDisk scratch tapes control. Currently the input to decide the retention days for tapes will be: The IP of the file creator, JOBNAME, FULL DSNAME, the program name and easily I will be able to add more. All the tape manager implementation will be in PC (Linux, Windows). The reason I create this feature is a user request who do not have any tape manager. So, you can use your MF tape manager if you want TMM, CA and more), but you can use MFNetDisk tape manager which control tapes from any IP and any distance with one set of rules located in PC where the tape data stored. You can control the drive using OAM or regular drive (if you do not have the same device type of other companies). As usual, please sent me comments to my email.
