Don't confuse hardware features with software enhancements. Your
observations AFAIK fall into software enhancements.
There wasn't need to reboot PC hosting console. Never. Of course it
could depend on emulation program, I can say for IBM PCOMM and Norwegian
Nexus. No need to reboot!
