I have a similar configuration, and I use four mod-50 volumes (55650 cyls). For each LPAR I have four page datasets on each volume, for a total of 16 page datasets per LPAR (3 LPARS). Because of PAV and multiple allegiance, the ASM on each LPAR can read/write to 16 page datasets simultaneously. This handles heavy page-out activity pretty well.
