And they admitted at one point that the 20K included OTCs that had never been heard from again. Sort of like McDonald's claiming to have hundreds of billions of customers based on the number of burgers they've sold -- not untrue, but not precisely true, either. Best guess I've heard recently is something like 4000 z/OS, 1500 z/VM, 1500 z/VSE, under 100 z/TPF. But those are clearly darts; the rankings are about right, but that's the only part I'd bank on.
