I agree with you as well about the documentation. But if the doc were available, I could glean the version information from it. Version information is not a state secret. Just tells you if you need to upgrade... which most vendors want anyway. If someone has a legitimate reason, please post it. I've been wrong before.. will probably be wrong in the future about something else... But I don't think version information is among the list. And please.. don't use the lame excuse.. but I have to support sooooooooo many different versions of the OS and different OS's. If you have to support it.. then you know about it.. take 5 minutes.. write it down ... give it to the web person maintaining your site... Update it when you release a new version... ahhh don't you feel better now?
