Long lines are also a problem for me and I too spend a lot 
of time keeping things short.  

One additional problem I seem to have is that, when breaking up
long lines, the <enter> key seems to result in double spacing.  
That being the case, I try to use <shift><enter> instead, but 
it's hard to remember when you just want to get some thoughts 
down before falling victim to a senior moment.
