Java programmer is not MVS sysprog and vice versa. Market decides who is

However you should rethink the above - do you want your salaries to be
high or *higher than* ? MVS and whole IT is not the best example, but
i.e. barber, plumber, taxi driver - all those professions are definitely
more profitable in US than Poland. Avg salary here is approx 14k$ gross
per year, approx. 9k$ net.
BTW: The highest job offering I saw recently was "Ruby on Rails
programmer". I had to check what the Ruby is...
