VM has changed considerably since HPO 5.1. Long gone are the days of
assembling modules to apply service and to add devices (thank god). To
the sysprog servicing VM is pretty much two commands (after the service
envelope is uploaded). And of course all modern devices can be sensed.
Most of the new support now centers around capacity (very large virtual
machines) and virtual networking (virtual switch). There is a statement
of direction for clustering (not sysplex) and guest migration (moving
live machines between VM systems). All of this with the intent of
supporting Linux.
The motherhood and apple pie concepts of VM haven't changed much since
HPO. The line oriented commands, XEDIT, etc

I'm curious. The last release of VM I really worked with was 5.1 - no
XP or later stuff. Has it changed much, or are most of the concepts
still the same?
