OK here's the question/problem.
I have set up a printer pool called POOL1 which is tied to a NETSPOOL VTAM LU
called LU01. Next I have two IP Printway printers defined as IP01 and IP02
with their corresponding JES2 printer definitions of PRT21 and PRT22. IP01 and
IP02 use the printer pool of POOL1. The idea is to send output from LU01 to
printers IP01 and IP02 simultaneously. IP01/PRT21 does the actual printing
while IP02/PRT22 are drained in JES2. Every 30 minutes we run a REXX EXEC to
offload the output destined for IP02/PRT22. The REXX EXEC creates a new SPOOL
offload data set name each time that has the date and time as part of the name.
If we need to reprint somethig we use the appropriate data set name.
Here's the actual problem. If we reload the output and change the destination
to a different IP/JES2 printer(say IP03/PRT23) output still gets routed to
IP01/PRT21. If I browse the JES2 offload data set I can see character strings
which match the original printer destination (IP01/PRT21). Can I get around
this?

Post here Richard. IP Printway would be on topic for IBM-MAIN compared
to 70% of the other posts that are not:-)
There are a couple JES related lists but nothing with much volume.
Our biggest gripe with IP Printway gets better RSN. We are R4 and so
Infoprint FSS tasks still use a wicked amount of below the line SP230
storage. At R5 or better we can select Extended mode and they will use
SAPI to interface to JES and most of the storage is supposed to go above
the line. Currently if we get 700 or 800 items in a queue the IP FSS
abends. It means for now we have had to split 1 FSS into 3 just to get
around this limit and implement automation to mind print queues
obsessively so operations can get nagged if a printer runs out of paper
and quick like get it going again.
