I downloaded the CentOS 4.8 s390x "tape" install files from their site
and built a boot tape on a 3490E cartridge. Used the ICKDSF bootstrap
loader I downloaded from somewhere off of the net (sorry, lost my notes
so don't know where I found anything ... used Google to find everything
including the notes on how to do it ... from the SHARE or Linux/VM web
site I think) ...

Booted from the tape to run the CentOS installer and now I have a system
running.

Because we've standardized on SPARC ... we have over 100 SPARC boxes of
various sizes and flavors in our machine room ...
