Still wondering: is WSA the same as ISPGUI?

A few years ago, trying ISPGUI, I brought up SDSF and typed
one the command line, "BOT&11". _Then_ I searched for the
ATTN key to exit automatic update. None. PMR time.

IBM> You need to set your local keymap to define an ATTN key.

gil> How do I do that?

IBM> Depends on your specific workstation; we can't tell you?

gil> Give me an example for any workstation; I'll adapt it.

IBM> [silence]

... many plies later:

IBM> We agree; it's not possible to enter ATTN from the ISPGUI
window. You must press ATTN in the 3270 window from which
     you launched ISPGUI.

gil> I have no 3270 session.

IBM> You must have a 3270 session!?!?!? How else could you have
     started ISPGUI?

gil> Batch job; IKJEF01.

IBM> WAD; functionally stabilized. [silence]

So, if WSA is no different from ISPGUI in this respect, or no better,
first requirement: Provide a working ATTN function in WSA.
