"World Community Grid has enabled my lab at Scripps to engage in critical
computational research to design new anti-HIV drugs based on molecular
structure. World Community Grid has allowed us to complete very complex
research studies in six months that would have taken five years."

- Professor Arthur Olson Department of Molecular Biology, The Scripps Research
Institute, HIV Researcher.

Your friend Chris Blaicher would like you to read this important message:

I know how important science is to you and we both know that it can have a
postive impact on the lives of others. You may contribute to technology that
is changing lives too, it's free and easy. Our planet's getting smaller,
flatter and smarter every day, and it's no wonder with initiatives like World
Community Grid. Please join me in supporting this groundbreaking program, which
has helped to dramatically reduce research time in various non-profit
humanitarian projects since its inception in 2004.

One example is the Human Proteome Folding Project at The Institute for Systems
Biology (ISB). It used World Community Grid to predict 50,000 previously
unknown protein structures. This information will help combat Parkinson's
disease, cancer, cystic fibrosis and other diseases. The project was completed
in just months. Had ISB used its own computing resources, it would have taken
approximately 100,000 years.

Ongoing research projects include:

Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together - Phase 2
Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy - Phase 2
Help Fight Childhood Cancer
Nutritious Rice for the World
Help Conquer Cancer
Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2

How World Community Grid works:
It's easy. Just register and download a simple and secure program. The program
can detect whenever your computer has unused computer cycles and during these
times, your computer requests work from World Community Grid's server, performs
computations on this data and sends the results back. It requires no effort on
your part at all and it's completely safe! Also, the progams settings may
easily be changed to suit your needs. I believe World Community Grid can
greatly advance the work of the scientific community. Please go to the website
at www.worldcommunitygrid.org and register today.

* You can easily change the settings of the program to suit your needs.

Thank you and see you on World Community Grid!,

Chris Blaicher
