I've just started to peruse IBM manuals and redbooks but I'm wondering if any
of you could point me to helpful tools.
IMHO you should start with the type of the copy. Synchronous vs
Asynchronous. This is crucial.
Second, you should be aware, that number of bytes per (relatively long)
period of time is irrelevant, especially for Synch. copy (TrueCopy Sync
in your case). What is important is the peak value. Then you can start
measurements
...and finally you should use at least 4 FC links, as fast as possible ;-)))
BTW: I bet the most valuable data you can get from DASD array tools
directly. Some PC (+application) connected to the DASDbox. I can't
remember HDS's name for that, in case of EMC it's ECC.
