Jim I just tried "up arrow" - as usual - when I had a "Microsoft Telnet>" prompt in my Windows (XP) "Commnds" window - usual for the "Commands" window that is - and it seemed to do the job.
I assume, of course, that your "USS" is still intended to be "UNIX System Services" or "z/OS UNIX" for short!
