Am i being picky here in being concerned with the overhead of going thru 
hundreds of structures just to clear these pendings for a handful. Having to 
take the structures out of duplexing and doing the rebuilds and then going 
back into duplexing seems quite cumbersome.

I would assume that everyone just uses the reallocate. I know how fast this is 
done by XCF but it is unlike IBM to use excessive system resources when it is 
not necsessary. 

One other thing I found surprising is that I did not see and commands related 
to the clearing of the pending condition by the reallocate. It would be nice if 
we new exactly what the reallocate was doing under the covers and we would 
not have to ask these questions.
