Thanks. We knew it can be done and so tells the HMC help screen. We will try
to ipl next week from a DVD after changing to Single Object Operation (so
far, we tried without it) and report here. It seems not well documented in
the HMC user guide.

Paul,
The load program is stored in the HMC anyway, What change does it make for
it to load from a disk drive (including the channel program involved) or
from DVD?
