Gliding through semiannual time change *without IPL* is exactly what running on true GMT/UTC buys you. We do take a few actions.
- Run a CICS transaction to refetch local time from the system. No disruption. - Bounce Netview. Affects only Netview. - Bounce AFOP (Candle automation) Affects only AFOP, not the processes it manages. If you have a sysplex timer connected to each CEC, the time change--technically the local time offset adjustment--can be programmed to occur at a specified moment. You don't even have to wake up at 02:00. Without a timer, you can issue a SET CLOCK command to make the adjustment. . . .
