I have retried with a 7-character ID, with all the same characteristics, and the problem is solved. Thanks for the help. Apparently, even though we never intended the original ID to have a TSO segment, and thus be usable from TSO, it must also meet the <= 7-characters restriction to be usable from an IKJEFT01 (batch TSO) environment.
