We are using this current setup: Application (ALCS) writes log data to a non- sna printer LU in a real 3174. This port is plugged into an IrmaPrint box (yes really!) that converts the stream to serial RS232. That in turn is plugged into a PC running 'Advanced Serial Data Logger' software from AGGsoft.com. This software captures the serial data and writes to a PC file and spins a new one at midinght etc.
We are looking to get rid of the 3174's and we currently use OSAs for consoles. What I am looking for is a way using the OSAs as the printer LUs and route the data ultimately to the PC log file. Does anyone have any ideas about how to do this? thanks Dana ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
